I am excited to say that in the very near future, our studio will begin sign ups for group classes. As we are wrapping up a few details in developing this, I want to share with you an idea of what can be expected from participation in a group class setting.
Group classes will meet twice per month at a regularly scheduled time. We are working on adjusting the content of the classes to accomodate the levels of every student at EMS, and hopefully to suit their individual needs. Classes are expected to run between 30 and 45 minutes long depending on the level. Students will be able to participate in activities such as playing review songs as a group, taking part in music games, learning new songs in small groups, and performing their pieces for one another.
Group lessons are an important and hugely beneficial experience for any student. They allow us to get together, cooperate, learn from one another, and most importantly to have some fun! Whether it's two kids or twenty in a class, the experience of playing with others is invaluable. I was lucky to have group class as a part of my violin education, and I can't speak more highly of it. I will be handing out a flier or pamphlet with more details very soon, including potential days and times for scheduling. We'd love your input on that note, as we want to work with your availability as best we can. Please see me or Kitty at your lesson time if this interests you, or if you have any questions.
