Trumpet & Trombone Lessons
Ages 8 and Up
Both Trumpet and Trombone are brass instruments. Sound is created by vibrating or “buzzing” the lips into a mouthpiece, sending soundwaves careening around curves of metal tubing and finally out of the bell of the instrument. Both can produce quite loud sounds and have been used to announce the beginning of a ceremony, the entrance of a dignitary, or to cheer for a team. They also can coax the dulcet tones of smooth jazz as well as the bright melodies of the big band.
What’s the #1 reason to study Trumpet and Trombone at the Academy?
Our brass instructors are warm and friendly and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student's favorite type of music. Whether you're playing in local bands, a 10-year-old taking his first lesson, or a fifty-year-old returning to the trumpet after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
We can also prepare you for a youth band or school orchestra so you improve your chair position and become increasingly confident.
What styles of Trumpet and Trombone do you teach?
Our teachers are qualified to teach classical, jazz, pop, worship music and more.
