April 2017 Music Notes Newsletter

Updated: Jul 15, 2021

Dear Encore Family,

We want to welcome Ben Crowder to the faculty at Encore! Ben teaches Trombone and beginning Piano and Guitar. We also want to say a fond farewell to an Encore veteran Voice teacher Carol Fry who is retiring this month to spend more time with her husband. We wish you the Very Best for you and yours!

April is an exciting time at Encore, culminating in our Spring Recitals on Saturday, April 29th at 10:00 am and 11:30 am in the Church of the Master sanctuary. This is the same location as the November 2016 Autumn Recitals. Thanks again to our Director Emeritus, Kitty, for securing the arrangements. We will be regaled with the Bach - Sonata No. 2 in A Minor - Fugue by our very own Sean Klopfenstein @ 11:15am. There will be opportunity for the consumption of confections after each Recital as well. In fact, this year we welcome any teacher, parent, or student who would like to contribute to our refreshment table by checking a box at the bottom of the Recital Information and Signup Page. We certainly don't need everyone to contribute in this way, but if baking is a joy for you, we certainly would be blessed through your assistance. Sean's students and anyone else who would be benefited by piano accompaniment not already provided for the Recitals are also encouraged to check a box on the Signup Page. We are reserving Thur. April 20th and Wed. April 26th from 4:00-7:30pm at the Westerville Studio for this purpose. Please indicate what times you are available and we will let you know your assigned time by Monday, April 17th. For those families utilizing this opportunity, the recommended donation for accompaniment services is $25 made out to Helen Allen.

A Special Thanks to:

Diane LaHue, former owner of Encore Music Studios, for her continued support and flexibility with the shared space at the Dublin location!

Sean Klopfenstein for his dedication to and development of our Suzuki Violin Group Class. I have received great feedback from our parents!

Kitty Laurich for continuing to take students as the word of mouth of her abilities with young violin students has traveled nationally!

Ian Harrah for being a steady and integral part of Encore's growth!

Helen Allen for her undying devotion to me and the success of Encore!

Brad A.

Director, Encore Music Studios
